17 Months Old

My sweet baby girl is 17 months old!
She is such a happy funny little girl that is on the go all day long.
At 17 months Madelyn...
still wears 12 month clothes but is going to have to start wearing 18 month soon because all her fall clothes are 18 month even though they are too big. Hopefully she will grow a lot in the next few weeks.
wears size 4 diapers
size 5 shoes
cries when we have to come in from outside
loves to love on Keyser
runs everywhere
loves to give other children hugs and kisses
talks a lot
new words this month that I can remember are: toy, cheese, cookie, hush, Ban (Banner her friend next door) bye mom and dad (really? she is too young to say that) beach, water, pool
loves to collect things
does not like sand at all
loves shoes
does not like to try on clothes but loves to get new clothes (loving new clothes might be because I get excited about her new clothes too. Ha!)
grew out of her first pair on walking shoes this month-her white stride rite sandals- this was very sad for me, I love those sweet little sandals.
always asks for a book when we are in the car
tells Keyser to hush when he is barking
likes when you ask her to be a helper
gets so excited about the smallest things
loves to go on stroller and wagon rides and just walk down the sidewalk
gets so much joy out of waving to people
makes me so proud everyday
is just a sweet little girl that we love more than anything!

First Day of MDO

Madelyn had her first day of Mother's Day Out today. She will go every Wednesday from 9:30 to 1:30. When I dropped her off this morning she did so good. She was a little shy at first but then her teacher brought out the animal crackers and she was good to go. She sat right down between two little boys and started eating. She even turned back to wave and say bye to me. Spencer went to pick her up at 1:30 ( I was taking a C.E. class for real estate) and he said she was sitting in her teacher's lap with a little boy and they were both crying. But when she saw her daddy she was O.k.. Her teacher said that she was so sweet and good until about 1:00 when they came back from the big gym and that's when she started to get upset. I think she was tired (she usually naps at 12:30) and she got mad they she had to come back from the big gym (it's kinda like being outside big and open). Other than her little crying episode at the end I think she had a great first day at mother's day out.
Say cheese for the camera
Her backpack and lunchbox are so cute and she loves to carry them.

Ready to go!

Hey Alabama fans

This one is for all our family and friends that are crazy Alabama fans. We love you dearly, so much that we put our daughter in an Alabama outfit and cheered you on tonight.

Madelyn says if you are going to wear an Alabama outfit you better make sure you look darn cute in it.

War Eagle

We took Madelyn down to Auburn for her first football and she loved it. She loved all the people, all the yelling and all the screaming. She was dancing, clapping and yelling during all the pre game stuff and then she watched the eagle fly. During the game she would clap and yell with the crowd, it was so funny. I was very surprised at how well she did, I really thought that I was going to end up walking around the stadium with her. I'm so glad that she had such a great time at her first football game!
Ready for the game to start

Touch down Auburn!!

Give me some more hot dog mommy!

Ready for game day

Spence, Madelyn and I are headed down to Auburn in the morning for our first family Auburn game. It is going to be a long day for everyone and I have a feeling I'm going to be chasing Madelyn around Auburn but it will be fun. I can't wait for Madelyn to see the eagle fly, she's going to love it.
We had to try on our Auburn outfit to make sure it fit.
Madelyn says War Eagle!!!!

Mom and me at the zoo

Madelyn and I took a trip to the zoo just the two of us yesterday. The zoo was nice because there was hardly anybody there, it was still a little hot but not as hot as last time. Madelyn loved seeing all the animals especially the sealions.
M and mommy
Mom I can't see!
Madelyn was not standing still for a second so this was the only picture I was able to get that included Madelyn and an animal, all the rest were an animal and a arm swinging or a blur.
We can't wait for the weather to cool a little bit more, that will be perfect zoo weather.
