One month old

It's so hard to believe that Madelyn has been here for a whole month. It seems like we were on the way to the hospital yesterday. Spencer and I are so amazed by her everyday.
I love this picture. It's the first picture I have of her smiling and you can see her adorable little dimple.

Keyser is not sure about Madelyn being in her swing. He stood right in front of the swing watching her the entire time she was in it. He is very protective of his little sister.

Mother's Day

My first Mother's day was wonderful! Spence was asking me all week what I wanted for mother's day and I kept telling him I had everything I wanted. I could not ask for more on Mother's day- I have a beautiful healthy perfect baby girl. Since we can't take Madelyn out in public yet we all went to my sister's house for dinner. Madelyn was all dressed up and took lots of pictures for her mommy.

Doctor visit

Madelyn went to the doctor today for her two week check-up. She now weighs 7 lbs. 7 oz. and is 20 inches long. I was a little nervous about her gaining enough weight since I really don't know how much she is getting each time I feed her but obviously she is getting plenty to eat. I feel like all I do is feed her but the doctor said she's perfect. She's been gaining about an ounce and a half a day which is really good. Her next checkup is her 7 week checkup, that is when she will get her first vaccines.

Early Girl

After being pregnant for what seemed like forever our sweet baby girl arrived two weeks early. Madelyn Louella Sirmon was born April 20, 2009 at 11:06 a.m.. Our tiny bundle of joy weighed in at 6 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 and a half inches long.
