Easter 2011

Easter day was the day after Madelyn's birthday party and we were exhausted. We went to church all dressed in our bests and then came back home for an Easter lunch, Easter egg hunt and more time on the jump jump of course.

Our Beautiful girl
 Our little family
and yes I am wearing the same Easter dress as last year, I've had Madelyn's dress for months and with all the party planning and other craziness going on I totally forgot that I needed something to wear too. Oh well no one was looking at me anyways, all eyes were on my beautiful daughter!

Got one! She had so much fun finding eggs
Doesn't everyone play in a jump jump in their gorgeous Easter dress

Birthday Party # 2

The Saturday after Madelyn's real birthday we had another party. It was a kitty cat party and everyone was invited. We had lots of friends and family come celebrate. I drove myself crazy making all kinds of decorations, party favors, munchie food but in the end the party was great! I think everyone had a great time, I know we did.
Sweet Mice
Yummy cake from Edgar's

For food we had cat face cheese with crackers, spinach dip, cat chow (chex mix), goldfish, fruit, cheese balls, cherry limeade and cake balls, they were supposed to be cat cake ball suckers but my sis and I had a little trouble getting the cats to stay on the sticks, they were still very yummy. Oh and of course cake and ice cream.

Madelyn had two great 2nd birthday parties. Spencer and I are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends come celebrate our sweet girl's birthday.
Madelyn played on her jump jump until Monday around lunch time then jump jump had to go back home. Madelyn did a lot better then I thought she was going to. She helped us pack it up and put it in the car and waved bye bye to "her jump jump" as daddy drove him back home. She still asks about her jump jump but she only cried about it a few times. I guess I know what we will have at next year's party!
Hugging her jump jump bye and then she kissed it!

Birthday Party # 1

When you turn two you get two different birthday parties! One on your real birthday and then one on the Saturday following your birthday for all your friends to come to. Madelyn turned two on a Wednesday. Wednesday is music day so we woke up had birthday breakfast and opened a few presents and then it was music class time.
My 2 year old waking up!

Opening presents from Mommy and Daddy before music class. She loves her little kitchen that goes in her playhouse outside.

Madelyn had so much fun at music class on her birthday. She loves music class and Mrs. Jill made it extra special for her by getting everybody to sing happy birthday to her. After music we ate chick-fil-a and then it was nap time. When Madelyn woke up from her nap she had a huge surprise outside for her. We rented her a jump jump for her birthday and she was soooo excited!

Madelyn jumped till I didn't think she could jump anymore and then she jumped more. She was a jumping fool. On her actual birthday we had just immediate family over and Bannie, Mrs. Shannon and Mr. Judd because we consider them family too.
Madelyn had so much fun jumping with her Bannie and her cousins.
We ate pizza on paper plates in the back yard and had wonderful cupcakes that Mrs. Shannon made, it could not have been any more perfect. Bannie had so much fun that he threw up all over the jump jump. We decided to let everyone rest and open presents but before we could do that Madelyn threw up all over her daddy. What can I say, it's not a great 2 year old party until you have a puking rally, Ha! After we cleaned up for the second time we finally opened presents.
Madelyn got so many wonderful gifts.

Hiding in the kitchen box was fun too.
Madelyn did not want to go to bed, she had way too many new toys to play with to sleep. Birthday girl jumped on her jump jump Thursday and Friday and then on Saturday we had another party!

24 Months Old.....

or 730 days or just 2 years old! I know I have probably said this every month but I truly can not believe that Madelyn is two years old! I don't think you really believe people when they say "cherish every second because they grow up fast" until you have a child of your know and then you know just how quickly the time flies.  The last two years of my life have changed so much, I don't even remember what we did before Madelyn. Yes the past two years I have been tired, I have at some point in the day had spit up, pee, poop, throw up, hiney paste on me and random food in my hair and some days I've had all of the above but I would not trade this wonderfully messy out of control life for anything in the world, not even for a day. It seems like just a few months ago I was bringing home a tiny newborn and was scared to death that we were going to do something wrong. Well two years later and we must be doing something right. Madelyn is such a happy child, her sweet smile just lights up my life. She is potty trained, very polite, very social, talks a lot and about everything and she asks questions all day long. She is a wild one and such a sassy little priss that knows what she wants. Madelyn definately keeps us on our toes. She still has that sparkle in her eyes that she did the day she was born, she sparkle that no amount of money can ever buy. She is very strong willed, dramatic, fearless (except of the wind, yes right now she is scared of the wind), loves to play and hide, be the center of attention and put on a show. She loves to dance and sing. Some of her favorite songs are the itsy bitsy spider, bow wow wow dog song, happy birthday, ring around the rosie and songs she makes up herself.
Madelyn is such a funny little girl. Spencer and I are always laughing at the things she says and does.

The other day my dad said to her "Madelyn this time next year you will be 3 years old" Madelyn sighed and said "I'm just too old!" Ha- where does she come up with this stuff
We were practicing saying her whole name all morning and after nap I asked her what her whole name was and she said "I don't know, ask daddy"
Last week Mymy asked her if she wanted to take Aubry and Paisley to the zoo one day and in her sassy voice she said " ummmm I just don't know". I guess she needed to check her activities calender.

She has started to name her babies. She named her huge stuffed kitty from Aunt Sarah, Doggie and when you ask her it's name she says "his name Doggie"  He also wear a huge hot pink bow on HIS neck!
She named her little kitty "cupcake", she wanted to her it Bannie but I told her kitty needed a different name since we already have the real Bannie and then Bannie baby doll. She loves Bannie just a little.
This girl plays hard and loves hard too. She loves to give hugs and kisses. I love when she puts her arm around Spencer or I and says "hey buddy" or when she tells me I'm her best friend. Oh it just melts my heart. I hope she feels the same way when she's 16! My favorite part of the day is when I'm taking Madelyn upstairs to her room and she says " Good night Daddy, Good night Keyser, I love you Keyser, I love you daddy and then she gives me a big hug, says I love you and seals it with a big kiss. Once in bed she always says cover feet, even though they are covered, they have to be covered a certain way and then she says "turn light off" just in case I forget. Some nights she falls right asleep and then other nights she talks for a bit because she has a lot to say these days.
I have a love/hate relationship with Madelyn getting older. I hate that she is getting older and is no longer the tiny baby I brought home from the hospital but I love seeing her growing and changing and learning new things everyday. The one thing I want Madelyn to know and remember forever is that she is loved by her daddy and I (and a lot of other people) more than she will ever know. I know that Madelyn will be great at whatever she does when she grows up but my hope is that she always keeps that sparkle in her eyes and that great smile on her sweet little face and that she never forgets that mommy and daddy love her and will always be there for her (no matter what kind of crazy shenanigans she gets into)! I can't wait to see what Madelyn has in store for us in the next year.

B's Birthday

Madelyn's favorite little guy turned 3 at the beginning of April and had a great party. The party was toy story themed because Banner loves Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang. Bannie had a huge jump jump house at his party. Madelyn always runs to the front door to look out every morning for Bannie and she saw the jump jump. She came running into the kitchen and said "mama buzz ightyear at Bannie's house. Thank goodness we got invited over to jump in our pj's before the party, Madelyn might have broken the door down. Madelyn had so much fun jumping in the huge jump jump with her Bannie, she was in heaven. Then we had a little melt down when we had to go home to get dress for the party.
Not in the mood for pictures, she was ready to jump!

Oh here he comes Miss Shannon I can hardly wait!
Birthday boy, taking a present into the jump jump
Pure Joy

Madelyn and Bannie didn't jump a lot during the party
When everyone left Madelyn and Banner ran and got in the jump jump and Banner said "yes we have our jump jump back", oh these two are a mess!

Jumping with the daddies
Isn't this the cutest Birthday boy ever! His outfit is pretty cute too it I do say myself (made by mom and I).
These two jump into the night. When we finally pulled Madelyn out she was so upset. She cried forever and even daddy couldn't calm her down. The next day she was upset and wanted to know where the jump jump was. I asked Banner the next day if he had fun at his party and before he could even speak Madelyn yelled out yes yes! Now if you ask Madelyn what she wants for her birthday she says a jump jump in the most pitiful voice. I wasn't planning on getting one but I caved and ordered one for her party since that's all she talks about.  Since I ordered it a week before her party the only one they had left was a sports theme one but something tells me that she won't even noticed that her jump jump doesn't go with her cat theme party. We shall see.
